Pirates over Musketeers in PCL Girls Soccer
Continental Girls soccer made a single goal in the first half stand for the victory over Fort Jennings on Tuesday. Bryn Tegenkamp had the unassisted goal with 8:43 left in the first half for the Pirates win. A hard fought second half had the visiting Pirates leave with the 1-0 win. The win saw the Pirates end a 4 game losing streak.

Marissa Becher had 5 saves in goal for the Pirates while Alli Scott picked up 2 saves. Continental had 22 shots to Fort Jennings 12. Continental improves to 3-4 (1-0 PCL) and will travel to Defiance on Saturday. Fort Jennings falls to 0-5 (0-1 PCL)
Pirates Girls Soccer defeat Defiance to even record
Last Saturday, Penalty Kicks went a long way to determining who was the winner in the Continental Girls Soccer game against Delphos Jefferson. This Saturday against Defiance it made the difference as the Pirates converted a penalty for the win. The first half saw the Pirates and Bulldogs scoreless on the Defiance turf. With 12:41 Defiance committed a hand ball when they attempted to clear the ball to the sideline setting up the Pirates winning goal. Pirate Bryn Tegenkamp buried the Penalty shot over the goalies right shoulder. The Pirates defense would finish off the game completing the shutout.
