
A little under 14 minutes clocktime was the difference between host Continental and Bryan Girls Soccer teams on Tuesday. The two teams played scoreless for the first 32 minutes and then it was the Golden Bears as they hit the back of the net at at the 7:55 mark to take a 1-0 lead. It looked like the teams would head into the halftime break with Bryan 1-0 advantage but the Bears added on a second goal with 1 minute left. Bryan 2-0 at half. The Bears would make it 3-0 a little under 6 minutes into the second half and that would be the final score. Bears 3-0 final.
Makenzie Niese took the loss in goal despite 23 saves. The Bears had a 41-4 advantage in shots and 26-3 on shots on goal. Bryan had 7 corner kicks while allowing the Pirates 1. Continental had 9 fouls to the Bears 7.
Continental falls to 2-2 and will travel to Wauseon on Thursday. Bryan improves to 2-2.
