More upcoming Putnam County Habitat for Humanity Critical Home Repair projects are planned for this Spring and Summer: The first home is in rural Continental. There is no running water due to clogged water lines and no filter or softer system. We will add the filter system, completely gut and rebuild the bathroom, rebuild the front porch and install new gutters and downspouts. The homeowner will be getting a new range and refrigerator donated by the Whirlpool Corporation. This project will be done by volunteers from St. John’s, Glandorf. The second home, also rural Continental, is a veteran’s widow and needs the bathroom renovated, some insulation and plumbing work updated and a new front door.
Just in the last 16 months we have finished building a new home, we’re finishing up on an extensive home rehab/renovation, and completed 12 Critical Home Repair projects with another 5-6 to be started soon. By this summer we will have completed 19-20 projects since November 2017.

We hope this sounds as amazing to you as it does to us? Our volunteers have worked so hard and have done such a great job. Without them we couldn’t make the impact that we have.
