Alex Hoeffel, a senior at Continental High School, signed a letter of intent to further her education and soccer playing career at Ohio Northern University on December 9th. Hoeffel a 4 time All State Division III Girls Soccer Honoree will leave Continental High with records for most career goals (168) and goals in a game (7). Hoeffel ranks 4th in the state in career goals and 11th in the state in goals in a game. She ranks 18th (46 as a junior) and 28th (43 as a freshman) in goals scored in a season in the state. As a senior Hoeffel put in 40 goals. Hoeffel was named to the All Putnam County League First team 4 times with being named Player of the Year as a Freshman. As a Junior, Hoeffel was named to the United Soccer Coaches Central Region team. She has been accepted into the Pharmacy program at Ohio Northern. Alex is the daughter of Annette Hoeffel and Chris Hoeffel.

Ohio Northern is located in Ada, Ohio and is a NCAA Division III program. The Polar Bears are in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Polar Bears were 18-3-3 last year and were the OAC regular season champion (9-0) and the tournament champion. The Polar Bears advanced to the NCAA Division III Sectional finals (elite 8) this past year.
