A third place Putnam County League finish by Continental High yielded 7 Lady Pirates earning all PCL Honors. Freshman Pitcher Gracie Homier was named to the first team. Homier batted .470 from the plate and had over 130 strikeouts from the mound. Two Seniors, a Junior and a Sophomore earned second team PCL honors. Seniors earning second team honors were second base Alli Scott and left fielder Reese Knowles. Junior catcher Tori Searfoss and Sophomore shortstop Raegen Clemens rounded out the Pirates second team honors. Senior first base Lauren Williams and Senior Center Field Macie Cordes were named to the PCL Honorable Mention roll.
Pirate coach Leva (Weller) Aguirre was named PCL Coach of the Year as the Pirates improved from 2 wins in 2022 to 9 wins in 2023 and moving up to third place. Columbus Grove Gwen Langhals was named PCL player of the year.
Miller City was PCL champ with a 6-0 league record. Columbus Grove was second 5-1. Continental third 4-2. Leipsic fourth 2-2. Pandora Gilboa 1-3 Kalida and Ottoville 1-5.
