
After a rough start to the season for Continental High Softball, the Pirates ripped off a 10 game win streak to sweep their way to the Putnam County League Title and a sweep of the Player and Coach of the year awards. Sophomore Pitcher Gracie Homier was named PCL Player of the year going 11-5 on the mound, striking out 122 batters and having a 3.04 ERA. Homier was one of the Pirates leading hitters, batting .568 with 25 hits, 2 triples, 5 home runs, 21 runs scored and 18 RBIs. Joining Homier on the first team was Junior Raegen Clemens. Sophomore Kimberly Grant was named to the PCL second team. Pirate Seniors Kaitlyn Bidlack and Tori Searfoss were named to the Honorable Mention roll along with Sophomore Mallorie Barnhart.
Leva Aguirre was named PCL coach of the year. Congratulations!
