Jane Deken celebrated life with all her heart. She took every moment and made it a great memory for those around her. Join the Deken family in remembering Jane on Sunday, October 30, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m., for “Jane’s Crazy Spooktacular Walk” at Sparling Park, on the corner of North Main and West Forrest Street in Continental, Ohio. All proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association.

“A Spooktacular Way To Scare Diabetes Away”
The event will feature the walk, and will be highlighted with various activities. Back by popular demand is our famous Bake Sale featuring sugar free baked goods, this year with crafts as well! This will include homemade items that everyone will enjoy, from your mom’s famous baked goods to your grandma’s special recipes.
Imagine having a halloween party without costumes. That just cannot happen! Dress up in your favorite costumes, kids and adults. We will be having a costume judging contest that will feature judges from our very own Continental Fire Department. Prizes will be awarded to the top two adults and top two kids.
Still want more? You’re in luck! Jane’s Crazy Walk will also host family hay rides around town where you will stop and pick a pumpkin from our “crazy pumpkin patch”. Bring the pumpkin back to the park and have a great time decorating within our craft area. Be sure your kids stop to enjoy our Little Monster Land where they can play games and fun goodies.
Last but not least, we will be having our silent auction and raffle area where you have the chance to win some exciting items. Also added to this year’s event is a Chicken BBQ from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Again, Jane’s Crazy Walk has been organized to not only celebrate the life of Jane Deken but to help raise money to defeat Diabetes. With all of our help we will be able to make a difference in helping all of our loved ones that suffer from this disease. Come help us scare diabetes away!!
