On September 17 the John Mansfield Memorial Jr Olympics Field and Track Meet will take place at the Continental High School Track and Field complex at 2 pm. All youths ages 4 to 13 are encouraged to participate in running, jumping, and throwing events. Age groups start at 4-5 with a 50 meter dash, running long jump, and a softball throw. The oldest age group is 12-13 and they can compete in the 100, 400, and 800 meter, running long jump, and softball throw. You must preregister for the events. Signups are allowed day of the event but need to be turned into meet officials before 2 pm. Track spikes are not allowed. This event is sponsored by the Continental Lions Club.
