Tuesday night Continental High traveled to Kalida for Putnam County League Baseball action. The game was close until a game ending run in the bottom of the 5th. Kalida opened the scoring with a single run in the first, 2 runs in the second and 1 run in the third. Meanwhile the Pirates were held scoreless. The 4-0 Wildcat lead would stand till the bottom of the fifth when the Wildcats would end the game with a 6 run rally.
Mitchell Coleman took the loss for the Pirates pitching 3 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits with 4 strikeouts. The Pirates could only muster 2 hits on the day with Blake Elkins leading the way with a double.
Continental falls to 1-15 (1-4 PCL) and will travel to Paulding on Friday for a non league game. Kalida improves to (5-0PCL).
