
CONTINENTAL – Karen S. Wagner, 77, of Continental, passed away at 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born April 3, 1948, in Lima to the late Hubert and Alice (Pohlman) Leis. On July 21, 1972, she married Donald B. Wagner, he survives in Continental.
Also surviving are two sons: Daniel (Betty) Wagner of Columbus Grove, and Keith (Trisha) Wagner of Continental; five grandchildren: James Kent, Chyanne Kent, Damian (Alexis) Fraley, Kurt Wagner, and Ben (Jaiden Lammers) Wagner; three great-grandchildren: Harlee Brinkman, Jordan Kent, and Adalynn Fraley; a brother: Michael (Kim) Leis of Ottoville; and bonus daughter: Elizabeth Tracy-Held “Punkie” of Tiffin.
Karen was the manager of Quick and Clean Laundromat. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental, and the Continental American Legion Auxiliary. Karen was the neighborhood mom to many children over the years. She loved her family, Elvis Presley, Ohio State Buckeyes, and coloring, not necessarily in that order. Karen adored her grandkids.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental with Fr. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in North Mt. Zion Cemetery, Continental. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental, and again on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
