
Katie Keller showed no rust in returning to the track as she last ran at the 2018 OHSAA Division III State Track meet. Keller led the Girls track with a pair of firsts in the season opening track meet at Patrick Henry. The tri meet also had North Baltimore. On the Girls side Keller placed first in the 100M Hurdles and the 300M Hurdles. Sierra Prowant won the 200 for the Pirates and was third in the long jump. Kayden Centers placed 2nd in the 800 meters. Mikayla Mayes placed 3rd in the 3200. Shelby Collier placed 3rd in the Pole Vault. Patrick Henry was the Girls meet winner with 92 points, North Baltimore 47, Continental 26.
Trevor Brecht started out his 2019 track season with a pair of firsts for the Pirates boys at Patrick Henry. Brecht took first in the long jump and the 200 meters. Isaac Gibbs placed first in the 100 meters and third in the pole vault and 200 meters. Jaden Warner placed second in the 400 meters and third in the high jump. Taron Butler placed second in the long jump. Curtis Mansfield placed third in the Discus. 3200, 400 and 800 meter relay teams all placed second. Patrick Henry was the Boys meet winner with 89.5 points, Continental 47.5, North Baltimore 24.
