
On Wednesday Continental High Trackster Katie Keller attempted to advance to the OHSAA Division III Track and Field Girls Regional Finals on Friday. In the 300M Hurdles Keller won her heat with a time of 46.82. Keller will be seeded second on the final heat as Jenna Clouse of Old Fort won the other heat with a time of 46.52. Both Keller and Clouse won their qualifying heats by more than 1 second. The top 4 from Fridays Finals will advance to the State Track Meet.
In the 100M Hurdles Keller did not advance. Her time, 17.10, in the second heat was good for 6th in the heat and 12th over. Keller missed advancing to the finals by 0.55 seconds.
Shelby Collier will compete in the Pole Vault. Collier qualified with a school record 9’6” jump which seeds her in 6th place with 3 other girls. The top seed had a District height of 12’5”. The top 4 from the Pole Vault will advance to the State Track Meet.
The Tiffin Regional takes place on Friday with Field events starting at 5:00 and Track events starting at 6:30. The Regional Track and Field Meet is held at Heidelberg University Hoernemann Stadium 310 E Market St Tiffin OH 44883.
