“Kids on the Block” is a presentation that uses puppets to teach students about others with disabilities. The puppets represent such disabilities as cerebral palsy, blindness, learning disabled, speech and hearing disabilities. The puppets teach the students that they can do the same activities as their fellow non-disabled peers. The students enjoy learning from the puppets and they are able to ask questions to them about their disabilities. It is an excellent chance for the students to learn that they need to include others who may have difficulty doing the same activities that they enjoy.
