
On Monday night Continental High Girls basketball hit the road and almost went to Indiana as they travelled to Antwwerp for a non league game. It was a hot shooting Archer team who drilled eleven 3s taking home the victory. The Archers put up 22 in the first quarter to the Pirates 9. The second quarter had the Archers expanding their lead by 4, 34-17 Archers. The Archers doubled up the Pirates in the third quarter 18-9 to take a 52-26 lead. The Pirates split the fourth quarter with both teams scoring 9. Archers 61-35 final.
Olivia Crossgrove led the Pirates with 9 points. Morgan Shock scored 8 and hit two 3s. Kamryn Searfoss and Becca Stark both scored 6 with Searfoss getting her points from 3 point land. Ava Sheeter scored 4 and Laney Nienberg scored 2. The Archers made eleven 3 pointers to the Pirates 4. The Archers were 10/14 from the line while the Pirates were 5/10.
The Pirates fall to 2-15 and will travel to Kalida on Thursday for a Putnam County League game. Antwerp improves to 6-12.
