Thursday night was a great night to be a Pirates as the Continental High Girls basketball took to the road to capture a non league win. The Pirates doubled up on the host Tinora Rams to establish a 12-6 at the first break. It was more Pirates in the second quarter as they put in 10 to the Rams 4 for a 22-10 lead at half. Both teams had their best quarter of the night in the third but the Pirates still won the quarter by 4 for a 36-20 lead after 3. The Pirates added 4 more to their lead in the fourth for a 42-22 victory.
Catelyn Etter led the Pirates with 13 points while Alex Hoeffel added 11. Kerri Prowant had 7, Addy Armey and Madelyn Potts 4 each, Katie Keller 2, and Olivia Logan 1. Etter, Hoeffel, and Prowant all hit one 3 point shot for the Pirates.
Continental improves to 3-2 and will travel to Fairview on Tuesday for a nonleague encounter. Tinora falls to 0-5. Tinora won the Junior Varsity contest.
