
A close game turned the Pirates way in the fourth as they hosted Antwerp in a non-league Girls Basketball game. The Pirates opened up the game by taking the first quarter with a 9-6 advantage. An even second quarter had the Pirates heading to the locker room with a 14-11 lead. The Archers made it a 2 point game by outscoring the Pirates by 1 in the third. Pirates 22-20. The fourth quarter had the Pirates expanding their lead and taking the game. Continental 37, Antwerp 27.
Alex Hoeffel led the Pirates with 9 points. Addyson Armey, Kerri Prowant, and Catelyn Etter all had 7 points. Madelyn Potts had 4 points. Jensen Armey put in 2 points. Lillie Nienberg 1 point. Hoeffel hit 3 three-pointers for her points.
Continental improves to 3-11 and will travel to Pandora – Gilboa on Saturday 1:00 pm start. Antwerp falls to 3-10. Antwerp took the abbreviated Junior Varsity game.
