On Monday the Continental High School Softball team traveled to Miller City to take on the Wildcats in a sectional semifinal game. Things started right for the Pirates as they plated 3 runs in the first and 3 more in the second to take a 6-0 lead after two innings. The Wildcats would win the remaining innings 6-4 but the early runs propelled the Pirates to the 10-6 win.
Amber Logan got the win for the Pirates as she allowed 6 Wildcat hits. Logan homered for the Pirates while Jessica Stauffer had a double and single and scored 3 runs. Kacie Quigley had a double and also scored 3 times. The Pirates had 7 hits in the game.
Continental (5-10) advances to the Sectional final on Thursday at Ayersville. Miller City falls to 7-9. Continental has a game on Tuesday at Riverdale. The Thursday League game against Pandora will be at Continental on Tuesday, May 16.
