On Tuesday Catelyn Etter had a big night as she was the games leading scorer and surpassed a rebounding milestone. The host Pirates took an early lead as they won the first quarter 10-7. A strong second quarter had the Pirates expand their lead by 5. Pirates 19-11 at half. The third quarter went the Patriot way as they cut into the Pirate lead by 1. Pirates 26-19. The Pirates put the game away by winning the fourth quarter by 8. Pirates 44-29 Final.
Catelyn Etter led the Pirates with game high 16 points. Madelyn Potts scored 10, Maddie Burke 6, and Jensen Armey, Bryn Tegenkamp and Ali Scott 2 each. The Pirates did not make a 3 point attempt while the Patriots put in 3. The Pirates outrebounded the Patriots 39-20. Etter pulled in 19 rebounds for the Pirates and also garnered her 500th rebound.
Continental improves to 4-9 and will host Leipsic on Saturday in Putnam County League action. Patrick Henry falls to 0-11.
