
Monday night Continental hosted Lima Temple Christian in a nonleague girls basketball game. It was all Pirates as they took on the fledgling Pioneer team. The Pirates put 26 on the board in the first and followed up that with 20 in the second quarter. The Pioneers put in one basket in the first quarter to make it Pirates 46, Pioneers 2 at half. The Pirates had a 19 point advantage in the third to make it 68-5. A 27 point fourth was met with 2 by the Pioneers for at 95-7 final.
Pirates were lead in scoring by Amber Logan with 31 while Alex Hoeffel and Madi Potts put in 13 each. Addyson Armey added 10, Kaitlyn Alvarado and and Catelyn Etter put in 8 each, Kaite Keller had 7, Brooke Bradford 3, and Keri Prowant 2. Logan made three 3 pointers, Hoeffel and Potts each made one 3 pointer. The Pirates made 2 free throws and 44 baskets.
The Pirates had one of the best offensive nights in their history. 95 is the second highest point total by the Ladies, 17 highest in PCL history. The 44 field goals is the most in program history and 3rd highest in PCL history. The 88 point differential the largest in program history and is probably one of the largest in PCL history.
Continental improves to 3-14 and will next face Paulding on Saturday. Temple Christian falls to 0-4. There was no Junior Varsity game.
