The scoring was early and often for the Pirates as the defeated visiting Crestview 15-0 Thursday night. After being held scoreless for the first time Freshman Alex Hoeffel started the Pirates out with a goal 20 seconds into the game. It was all Pirates after that as Continental held a 50-0 advantage in shots on goal. The Pirates held a 7-0 advantage at half.
A total of 9 Pirates broke the scoring column led by Hoeffel with 4 goals and Paige Lawhorn with a pair of goals. Blair Tegenkamp, Jaylen Armey, Briley Collier, Kelsey Miller, Kaytlin Bibler, Kaitlyn Alvarado, Katie Keller, Emily Rose, and Sarah Koenig all had single goals for the Pirates.
Ashley Mansfield and Angel Brzozowski shard the goalie duties in the shutout.
According to Coach Toby Bibler this game provided an opportunity to passing and that was accomplished. Work is still needed on finishing at the goal. Overall a nice win.
The Pirates are now 8-2 and will face Miller City a Putnam County League matchup on Saturday. Crestview is now 0-7.
