Holgate Tigers traveled to Continental for a Thursday night non league girls matchup. The Tigers came to play as they outscored the Pirates 21-11 in the first. The Pirates then won the remaining quarters and ultimately the game. In the second, the Pirates outscored the Tigers 9-8 making it 29-20 Tigers at half. The Pirates allowed only 5 points in the third while scoring 12 to make it 34-32 Tigers after 3. The Pirates outscored the Tigers by 4 in the fourth 9-5 to end up as the 41-39 victors.
The Pirates were lead in scoring by Amber Logan with 16 points (two 3 pointers). Jade Zachrich had 7 and Paige Lawhorn 6. Alivia Homier and Blair Tegenkamp both had 4 while Jaylen Armey and Ashley Mansfield each had 2.
The Pirates move to 1-5 and next play at Defiance on Monday December 14. The game against Hicksville scheduled for Saturday December 12 has been postponed. Holgate is now 3-2.
On Tuesday the Pirates traveled to Sherwood to take on the Apaches. The Apaches were 48-45 victors.
