Lady Pirates 0, Columbus Grove Bulldogs 3
On Tuesday Continental High Volleyball traveled to Columbus Grove for their Putnam County League opening match. Things did not go well for the Pirates in game one as the Bulldogs opened up the match with at 25-13 victory. Game 2 was hard fought but the Bulldogs took the extended game 26-24. A spirited effort by the Pirates in game 3 went for naught as the Bulldogs took game 3 and the match 25-22.
Brynn Thomsen led the Pirates with 9 kills and 1 block. Macie Clemens had 8 kills, 2 blocks and 1 ace. Teaghan McDougle had 21 assists, 3 aces, and 1 dig. Kenzie had 15 digs and 2 aces. Brynlee McDougle had 6 aces, 1 kill and 7 digs. Aislynn Noffsinger had 9 digs. Gracie Homier had 2 kills and 2 digs. Mallorie Barnhart 2 kills and 1 dig. Raegen Clemens had 2 digs.
Continental falls to 2-4 (0-1 PCL) and will host Leipsic on Thursday in another PCL tilt. Columbus Grove improves to 3-4 (1-0 PCL).
Lady Pirates 0, Leipsic Vikings 3
On Thursday Continental High Volleyball took on undefeated Leipsic in Putnam County League action. A hard fought game 1 went to the Vikings 25-13. Game 2 was taken by the Vikings 25-8. The Pirates battled back in the third game but it went the Vikings way 25-15.
Macie Clemens led the Pirates with 4 kills, 2 blocks, and 4 digs. Kenzie Searfoss had 3 kills 10 digs and 1 ace. Teaghan McDougle had 21 assists and 4 digs. Gracie Homier had 2 kills and 2 digs. Aislynn Noffsinger had 9 digs. Brynlee McDougle had 3 kills and 5 digs. Brynn Thomsen had 2 kills and a block. Raegen Clemens 2 digs.
Continental falls to 2-5 (0-2 PCL) and will host Lima Temple Christian on Saturday. Leipsic improves to 8-0 (2-0 PCL)
