Volleyball: Pirates 0, Lancers 3
On Monday Continental travel to Lincolnview for non league Volleyball. The host Lancers took a close first game 25-20. It was all Lancer in the second game, Lancers 25-10. The Lancers ended the match in game 3 with a 25-15 win.
Continental was led by Rhaegan Marshall with 7 kills, Delaney Bower had 6 kills, 5 digs, 5 aces, and 3 blocks. Macie Cordes had 3 kills and 2 aces. Teaghan McDougle had 12 assists.
Continental falls to 2-2 and will host Hicksville on Thursday. Lincolnview improves to 3-0.
Girls Soccer: Pirates 0, Bryan Golden Bears 6
Tuesday had the Continental High Girls Soccer team travel to Bryan for a nonleague game. The two teams battled most of the first 30 minutes of the game with a scoreless tie. The Golden Bears got on the scoreboard with 10:35 left in the half. The Bears made it 2-0 a little over 6 minutes later. Bryan 2-0 at half. The score held at 2-0 for a little over 19 minutes when the Bears made it 3-0. The Bears put in goal 4 two minutes later with 22:33 left in the game. The Bears would tack on 2 more goals in the last 13 minutes of the game to make it a 6-0 Bryan final.
Marissa Becher started in the goal for the Pirates and had 13 saves. Makenzie Niese made 3 saves in the goal for the Pirates. The Bears had 42 shots to the Pirates 1.
Continental falls to 2-2 and will host Wauseon on Thursday in a nonleague game. Bryan improves to 3-2.
