Tuesday night saw the Continental High Girls basketball team step up in competition as they hosted Division III Wayne Trace in a non league game. It was all Raiders early as they took the first quarter 16-3 with Makenzie Shock hitting a 3 for the Pirates score. The second quarter had the Raiders match their first quarter score but the Pirates improved by a point as Makenzie Shock and Olivia Crossgrove both made baskets. Raiders 32-7 at half. The Pirates continued to improve on points as they put in 5 with a basket from Makenzie Shock and a 3 by Morgan Shock. The Raiders poured in 12. Raiders 44-12 after 3. Makenzie Shock added another basket to her total as the Pirate finished with 14 points. Raiders 50-14.
Makenzie Shock led the Pirates with 9 points. Morgan Shock added 3 and Olivia Crossgrove put in 2. Makenzie Shock and Morgan Shock both hit one 3 pointer.
Continental falls to 0-19 and will travel to Montpelier on Saturday. Wayne Trace improves to 12-7.
