It was a close first quarter but all Lancers the rest of the way in Saturday night’s non league Boys Basketball. The host Lancer held a one point lead after 1 – Lancers 10, Pirates 9. In the second quarter the Pirates offense put in 8 but the Lancers turned up the heat as they finished the second with 23. Lancer 33, Pirates 17 at half. The third quarter was a little closer as the Pirates held the Lancers to 17 while putting in 9. Lancers 50, Pirates 26 after 3. The Lancers ended up 5 points better in the fourth to make it a 62-33 Lancer Final.
Mitchell Coleman led the Pirates with 11 points. Gavin Huff finished with 10. Taron Butler had 5 points, Reed Warnement 4, Bryce Recker 2, and Gannon Prowant 1. Huff made 2 three-pointers for the Pirates while Coleman made 1.
Continental falls to 0-4 and will hit the road again when they next play at Fairview on Friday night. Lincolnview is now 2-1.
