Saturday night the boys basketball game between Continental and Lincolnview was a tale of two half. The visiting Lancers showed no travel affects as they came out and took the first quarter 14-6. The Lancers almost repeated the same results in second quarter as they again held the Pirates to 6 but put in 13. Lancers 27-12 at half. The Pirates came out in the second half to reduce the Lancers lead by 5, 34-24. A lot of scoring in the fourth quarter had the Lancer winning the quarter by 1 and the game by 11. Lancers 53, Pirates 42 final.
Mitchell Coleman led the Pirates with 26 points. Gavin Huff added 6 points, Trevor Brecht 4, Rhenn Armey, Reed Warnement and Bryce Recker 2 each. Coleman hit three 3 pointers for the Pirates while Lincolnview made 7.
Continental falls to 1-3 on the season and will host Fairview on Friday. Lincolnview improves to 2-0. Lincolnview took the Junior Varsity game 38-35.
