On Tuesday, Joe Vera III, 19, of Leipsic, was furloughed from the jail to attend a counseling and addiction meeting in Ottawa, according to a press release from Det. Roy Sargent. Vera was expected to return to the jail after finishing the meeting but failed to return.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the sheriff’s office at 419-523-3208 or 866-788-2676. Callers can remain anonymous. Additionally, the Putnam County Sherrif’s Office reminds everyone that any person caught harboring Vera or concealing his whereabouts could be charged criminally.
