The John Mansfield Memorial Junior Olympics, sponsored by Continental Lions Club, will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 @ 1PM (Rain date is Sunday, September 30). This event is open to any child between 4 and 13 years old. Your child can pick any 3 Track and Field events in their age range. Entry forms will be sent home with the students from Continental Local School and can be filled out and mailed to the Continental Lions Club, P.O. Box 241, Continental Ohio 45831. If you do not receive a entry form, you can register the day of event BY 1PM at the concession stand at the CHS Track & Field Complex.
This annual event has spanned many years in our community. John Mansfield was a talented high school athlete and had a passion for track and field events throughout the remainder of his life. John was instrumental in helping to carry on the Lions Club tradition of Jr. Olympics in Continental. The Lions Club and John’s family invite all the young athletes to join in an afternoon of challenging fun.
