What a deal! – Help a young fellow in our community get a Diabetic alert dog AND get some beautiful flowers! On Friday and Saturday, April 29 & 30 and May 6 & 7, there will be a flowering plant sale in the parking lot of Helena Chemical Company on Main Street in Continental. The times will be 9:00am to 1:00pm. There will be cash & carry plants or you can call Deb Good @ 419-596-4477 to order in advance. Dahlias, Gerber daisies, geraniums, hanging baskets and potted plants will be available. Landon is 9 years old and is a 3rd grader at Continental Elementary. A Diabetes Alert Dog (D.A.D.) is specially trained to alert Landon or another adult that his sugars are too low or too high. The dog can retrieve juice or glucose tabs, get his glucose meter, and even dial 911 if needed. A service dog would be a wonderful blessing to Landon and his family and might just save his life someday!
