
Mark P. Elling, 50, of Marysville, OH, died Friday, June 16, 2017 after suffering from an aneurism. He was born December 27, 1966, in Napoleon, OH, the son of Karen (Bostelman-Elling) Johnston.
He was a 1985 graduate of Continental High School and a 1987 graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
At the time of death, Mark was survived by his mother Karen and his step-father Mike, both of Summerfield, FL. (Karen was recently called home to the Lord on July 12, 2017.) He is also survived by his daughter Madelyn from Brookville, OH, his brother Chad and nephew Matthew Jaxson, both of Louisville, KY. Mark was preceded in death by his brother Matthew and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Luella Bostelman. Monroe Cemetery in Continental, OH will be Mark’s final resting place.
Mark was a devoted father and avid animal lover. He was especially fond of horses and dogs. He loved a variety of outdoor activities including: motorcycle riding, hiking, fishing, camping, kayaking, bicycling and target shooting. Restoring vintage Honda motorcycles was one of his favorite pastimes.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life Service on August 26, 2017 in Marysville, OH at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel, 621 W. 5th St., Marysville, OH 43040 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has created a college fund for Mark’s daughter.
