Friday night Columbus Grove hosted the annual High School Putnam County Track meet which had Continental High Tracksters place in 15 events. The Pirates were led by Rhaegan Marshall who placed first in the girls Long Jump and 6th in the 200M. Mackenzie Shock was the second double placer for the girls as she placed 5th in the 300M Hurdles and 6th in the 300M Hurdles. Morgan Shock placed 6th in the girls 3200M and Adrianna Jones placed 6th in the Girls 100M. On the boys side Peyton Wilson placed in 4 events. Wilson placed 2nd in the 200M, 5th in the 100M and was on the 2nd place 4×400 relay and the 5th place 4×100 relay. Grant Clementz placed 2nd in the 400M and Collin Davis placed 3rd in the 400M. Clementz, Davis, Wilson and Malik James were on the 2nd place 4×400 relay team. Jonathon Etter placed 2nd in the Pole Vault and was 4th in the 110M Hurdles. Brady Thomsen placed 3rd in the Shot Put and 3rd in the Discus.
In the Girls team events, Kalida with 173 won the PCL title that went to the last event defeating Columbus Grove by 5.5 points. Continental Girls placed 7th with 16 points. On the boys side, Columbus Grove ran away with the meet scoring 194.5 points besting runner-up Ottoville by more than 100 points. Continental Boys placed 5th with 60 points. Continental High next track meet is Thursday at home.
