Defiance OH — Martha Ann Bayrd, 81, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Brookview Care Center in Defiance, OH. Martha was born on June 12, 1940 in Bexar, Alabama to Lura and William Nichols Sr. She married Clarence Bayrd on March 29, 1965. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1994.
Martha retired from Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon and was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in Junction OH. Martha was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Martha is survived by her children, Gregory Bayrd of Hamilton, Alabama, Melissa D. (Rory) Grime of Continental and grandchildren, Cambrianna (Quinten) Mansfield, Elizabeth Bayrd, Nathaneal Bayrd, Robert Bayrd, Keagan (Philip) Karacson. Grandchildren: Bristol and Case Mansfield. Siblings, Alva Lene Leach, William (Willie Gray) Nichols and Gary Nichol and brother-in-law Abdoo Kassouf.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, son Clarence Duane Bayrd, sister Ruby Kassouf and sister-in-law Brenda Nichols.
Services will be provided by Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with local arrangements.
