CLOVERDALE – Mary L. Barnhart, 87, of Cloverdale, died 9:08 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 3, 1934, in Ottawa to the late Frank and Louise (Maag) Miller. On August 11, 1956, she married Harold R. “Barney” Barnhart and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2013.
Survivors include five children: David Barnhart of Odessa, TX, Michael Barnhart and daughters, Judy (John) Decker, Dan (Brenette) Barnhart and Cher (Jim) Gerdeman all of Kalida; 10 grandchildren: Harley, Hollie, Jyron, Jarvin, Mackenzie, Mallorie, Devan, Daley, Dara, and Addison; a sister: Dorothy Dulle of Miller City; and two sisters-in-law: Jan Miller of Findlay and Linda Miller of Defiance.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Barnhart; four brothers: Richard (Ada) Miller, Thomas Miller, Eugene (Judy) Miller and John Miller; and a brother-in-law, Dale Dulle.
Mary worked many years at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed BINGO, going to casinos with friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
