It was all Wildcats and a pair of communities coming to together to help out their own in the Annual Volley for a Cure game at Miller City. Continental had a hard time getting service points in game 1 as the Wildcats opened up a 15-2 lead enroute to a 25-7 game 1 Wildcat win. Game 2 was a little closer but still went to the Wildcats 25-11. The Wildcats finished off the night with a 25-13 win in game 3 and a 3-0 match win.
Continental falls to 7-13 (0-5 PCL) and will host Paulding in a non league game. Miller City improves to 17-2 (3-2 PCL).
A large crowd filled the lower bowl for the Volley for a Cure with the majority of them donning Volley for a Cure shirts. Fundraising for Wyatt Davis (Continental) and Sarah Rosengarten (Miller City) in support of their own battle against cancer. There was a double adirondack chair (made by Miller City FFA), 32 baskets and 60+ baked goods raffles off along with a 50/50 raffle that approached $1000. It was a great night to be a Pirate or a Wildcat.
