
It took a while for the host Miami East Boys Basketball to heat up from outside but after they did they put in 7 from three point land. A close game in the opening minutes as the Vikings Ty Rohrer put in the first basket of the game which Milton Union matched. A basket by Jacob Roeth was again followed by another basket by the Bulldogs, made it 4-4. The Vikings then took the lead for good as they put in the next 11 points with Roeth and Connor Apple making 2 baskets and Keidin Pratt hit the first 3 near the end of the quarter. The Bulldogs would finish up the first quarter scoring with a basket. Vikings 15-6 after 1. The Vikings put the game away for good when they hit three 3 pointers with Apple, Pratt and Roeth each making 1. Vikings 24-6. A pair of basket by the Bulldogs made it a 14 point game 24-10 Vikings. A trio of baskets for the Vikings with Roeth, Rhorer, and Devin Abshire all making 1. Vikings 30-10. A 3 and a basket for the Bulldogs finished off their first half total of 15. The Vikings added 7 more to their first half total as Pratt would put in his third 3 pointer, Roeth a basket, and a pair of free throws from Rohrer. Vikings 37-15 at halftime.
The second half saw the Bulldogs making a basket to cut the Viking lead to 20, 37-17. A free throw and a basket by Roeth made it 40-17 Vikings. A basket by the Bulldogs was followed by a 2 and a 3 by Roeth. Vikings 45-19. A pair of 4 point Bulldog runs surrounded by an Apple basket. Vikings 47-27 after 3. Scoring slowed in the 4th quarter with the Bulldogs scoring the first basket but then it was all Vikings as they put in the final 9 points with Roeth contributing 6 points and Pratt making his 4th 3. 56-29 Viking final
Jacob Roeth led the Vikings with 27 points. Keiden Pratt put in 12 points, Connor Apple 9, Ty Rohrer 6 and Devon Abshire 2. The Vikings made seven 3 pointers to the Bulldogs 1. Pratt put in four 3 pointers, Roeth 2, and Apple 1. Abshire pulled down 10 rebounds while Rohrer had 6 assists.
Miami East improves to 10-6 (7-2 Three Rivers Conference) and will be at Troy Christian on Tuesday. Milton Union is now 2-13 (1-9 TRC).
