Dear Patients,
As of yesterday, March 17th, the CDC has recommended that routine eye care appointments be postponed at this time. They are asking healthcare facilities and clinicians to prioritize urgent and emergency visits and procedures in an effort to preserve staff, personal protective equipment and patient care supplies and to ensure staff and patient safety.
This afternoon our office will close to routine eye care including exams, eyeglass ordering and pick up, and contact lens order pick up. While we will do our best to help every patient at this difficult time, we also have to be mindful of the safety of our staff and doctors.
If, however, you have an urgent eyecare need please call the office and follow the instructions on the answering machine if we do not answer. If I determine that I cannot resolve an urgent concern without seeing you in person, I will arrange a time for us to meet at the office. Please do not proceed directly to an emergency room as those facilities are already very busy. Additionally, if you are in need of a medication prescription refill please call the office and follow the instructions on the answering machine.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time as we all work together to keep our community healthy and safe.
Thanks,
Dr. Ellerbrock
