On Thursday night Continental High School played host to Fort Jennings in a Girls Putnam County League matchup. A tight first half had the Musketeers winning the first quarter by 4, 9-5. The second quarter showed the 2 teams playing even 25-21 Fort Jennings. The third quarter went the Musketeer way as they increased their lead to 9, Musketeers 42, Pirates 33. The Musketeers outscored the Pirates in the fourth 15-13 for a 57-46 Musketeer final.
A trio of Pirates had 9 points Amber Logan, Ashely Mansfield, and Brooke Bradford. Alex Hoeffel had 8 points, Kaitlyn Alvarado 6, Jaylen Armey 4, and Addyson Armey 1. Hoeffel hit two 3 point shots while Logan and Bradford each made one.
Continental falls to 2-12 (1-3 PCL) while Fort Jennings is now 1-14 (1-2 PCL). Continental hits the hardwood on Saturday when they host Leipsic in another PCL game at 1pm. Go Pirates!
