
A pair of 3 run innings proved to be the difference on Tuesday as Fort Jennings defeated Continental Baseball 6-0. Both teams entered the game with two losses in Putnam County League action and with every PCL team having at least 1 loss they were still in the title hunt. After a pair of scoreless innings the Musketeers put up the games’ first runs with 3 in the top of the third. The Musketeers held the Pirates scoreless and then added 3 more runs in the top of the sixth. Musketeers 6-0 final.
The Musketeers out hit the Pirates 11-3 with Keenan Bowers leading the Pirates offense by hitting a double.
Rhettik Bowers started for the Pirates and took the loss. Bowers went 5.1 innings giving up 6 runs on 10 hits 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. Jayden Pitney and Haden Streicher pitched in relief. Continental falls to 2-12 (1-3 PCL) and will travel to Pandora Gilboa on Thursday. Fort Jennings improves to 6-5 (3-2 PCL).
