On Friday Continental High hosted Fort Jennings in a Putnam County League Baseball game. The Musketeers started the by plating a run in their first at bat. The Pirates scored the next run in the bottom of the second. The Musketeers regained the lead in the next inning as they scored two for a 3-1 lead after 3 and a half innings. The game stayed that way till the Musketeers batted in the top of the seventh when they put 2 more on the board. The finished the scoring for the day. Musketeers 5, Pirates 1.
Payton Weller took the loss for the Pirates. The Pirates had 6 hits with Jarrett Keck getting a pair of single, Nick States a single and a double and Payton Weller had a double.
Continental is now 3-13 (1-5 PCL). The Pirates are at Holgate on Monday for a regular season game and then host Holgate on Tuesday in a Sectional Semifinal Tournament game. Fort Jennings is 9-8 (1-4 PCL).
