A game between two Putnam County Rivals usually means a hard fought battle between worthy foes and this District Semi final at Kalida was no exception. Fort Jennings (10-5-4) and Continental played pretty even in the first and the 0-0 half time score reflected that play. In the second half Fort Jennings controlled the action for the majority of the half and had a number of opportunities that were stopped by the Pirate Defense and goalie Trevor Williamson. With 10:07 left in the contest Fort Jennings Troy Ricker got one into the nets for the Muskie’s lone talley. Although Continental had a number of chances in the last 10 minutes to score the equalizer none made it over the line.
Fort Jennings moves on to the District Finals on Saturday against Kalida.
