Recently, Norfolk & Southern installed stop signs at the rail spur crossing E Rice Street and N Main Street in the village. We have had several people inquire about the stop signs. First, even though these were not installed by the village they should be observed by all for the safety of everyone. Second, the village has filed a petition to get them replaced with yield signs as we do not believe there is enough rail traffic to warrant the stopping of traffic. We understand this may be inconvenient but the safety of everyone is our primary concern. Any updates to the resolution of this matter will be posted on the village page and forwarded to the Continental Enews as well. Thank you.
