
Coming off a victory on Thursday, Continental High Girls Varsity Basketball did not back down on Saturday. The Pirates traveled to North Baltimore for a non league game. The Tigers took the early lead 12-6 after 1 with the Pirates getting a basket and free throw from Olivia Crossgrove and a 3 from Morgan Shock. The Tigers expanded their lead to 13 in the second quarter. Tigers 26-13 at half. Pirates second quarter points were from a 3 from Shock, a basket and free throw from Crossgrove and a free throw by Ava Sheeter.
A close 3rd went to the Tigers by a point, 35-21. Shock put in 5 on a 3 and a basket, Kamryn Searfoss also hit a 3. Another close quarter in the fourth also went to the Tigers by 3. Continental got a 3 from Searfoss and a basket each from Crossgrove and Cassie Pier. Tiger 45-28 final.
Morgan Shock led the Pirates with 11 points including three 3s. Olivia Crossgrove scored 8. Kamryn Searfoss had 6 on two 3s. Cassie Pier 3, Ava Sheeter 1. The Pirates had five 3 pointers to the Tigers 2. The Pirates were 4-12 from the line while the Tigers were 10-13.
Continental falls to 1-7 and will host Ada on Saturday. North Baltimore improves to 5-3.
