This post is for our eNews readers who no longer live in the area – it was a beautiful day around Continental today. The Wollam Ag sign said it was 85 degrees (on October 2!) and it was sunny and dry. A drive south of town along Road I-18 (the river road) was nearly picture perfect – the trees are starting to change and the crops are ready for harvest. Vennekotter Farms was combining corn along the river and many of the farmers are working late into the night trying to get as much done as possible before the forecasted rains begin. There were no fog delays today for the school and the students even had a scheduled 2 hour early dismissal!
