
The regular meeting for the Continental School Board was held on November 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the administration office. The meeting was called to order by the president Dean Bidlack, who opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mrs. Tracy Potts, Elementary Principal, reported:
•On November 12 we had our first of five Grandparents/Grandfriends Day for the 2021-2022 school year.
This year we are breaking up our students/grandparents into several groups/days due to covid. On
November 12 our students and guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast made by the cafeteria staff followed by
a short PBIS presentation and bingo. Thank you to Sarah Goedde and the cafeteria employees for providing
the breakfast.
•The Fall Gifted testing is complete, except for the students that were quarantined.
•Parent/Teacher Conferences are Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23.
•Our Christmas for Kids campaign is underway. Students are purchasing raffle tickets to raise money. Thank
you to all the groups that donated baskets. The live drive at H & K is December 2 from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
•The elementary PBIS team met with a member of the State Support Team to undergo a Tiered Fidelity
Inventory. We received a good review. It was a good opportunity for the team to identify our PBIS strengths
and weaknesses.

Mr. Tim Eding, JH/HS Principal, reported:
•Congratulations to the Cast & Crew of Harvey! The play was very well done and very successful. Thank you
to Director Breanne Eickholt and Assistant Director Gage Hoehne for all they did to get the students ready
and the play on stage.
•Last week, the High School students went to the Legion for breakfast and the annual Americanism Test.
Thank you to the Legion for hosting our students and making a wonderful breakfast!
•The Veterans Day Assembly went well! Thank you to the Legion and all of our students and teachers that
helped make the day special for our local veterans.
•Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for November 22 and 23. All appointments can be booked via
the online scheduler (The link to schedule is available on our website and in the Continental Pirates App.)
•There is no school for students the week of November 22. Staff will have a PD day during the day on
Monday and then conferences that afternoon/evening. Staff will also be here for conferences from
10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
• Mrs. McIntyre has scheduled fall end-of-course testing for the week of November 29. There are just a
handful of students that will be taking and/or retaking tests throughout the week as part of their graduation
requirements.
•The NHS Induction Ceremony will be on December 2 at 1:30 p.m. in the Auditorium.
• The Band & Choir Winter Concert is scheduled for Monday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m.
•We will be doing 1st Semester Exams before the Christmas Break again this year. We have exams
scheduled for Friday, December 17 and Monday, December 20. (Tuesday, December 21 will be a makeup
day in case we need it.)

•Approved moving forward with the new bleacher purchase for the high school gym.

•Approved Sidney Eickholt and Morgan Minic as temporary substitute teachers who do not hold a post-secondary
degrees, pending satisfactory background checks as well as a valid non-renewable temporary substitute teaching
licenses issued by the Ohio Department of Education to serve as substitute teachers.
•The next regular Board meeting is December 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the administrative office.
