The first task at the Elida District District drawing was to avoid #1 seed and #1 state ranked Lincolnview (19-1). After Lincolnview took a bye to the sectional final #12 seed Pandora Gilboa (5-13) and #13 seed Cory Rawson (3-15) were left having to play in the sectional final that takes on Lincolnview. In the other half of the Van Wert bracket #4 seed Miller City (10-8) took the final bye and will battle either #5 seed Kalida (11-8) or #7 seed Delphos St. John’s (7-11).
The second task was to avoid #2 seed Crestview (14-5) . After Crestview took a bye to the sectional final #10 seed Fort Jennings (4-16) and #11 seed Ottoville (3-15) took the sectional semifinal leading to Crestview. The other side of the Ottawa-Glandorf sectional has #3 Leipsic (13-4), #6 seed Columbus Grove (9-9), # 8 seed Antwerp (8-10), and #9 seed Continental (5-11).
