The OHSAA Girls Basketball Division IV for the Van Wert District will be held on Sunday Feb 3. A lot of eyes will be looking at where the seeding falls as the District is led by a pair of teams with 2 losses and a total of 5 with winning records. Ottoville, ranked #10 in the latest State Division IV poll is currently at 15-2 while Wayne Trace is at 14-2. Ottoville has an early season win over the Raiders. Kalida (12-5) is currently leading the Putnam County League and is one of the two teams to defeat Ottoville this year. Crestview, 10-5, and Dephos St. Johns, 10-6, round out the teams with winning records. The Van Wert District has 11 team so each of these 5 could choose a bye to the sectional finals, but a pair of them will have to meet up in the sectional finals. The rest of the field has teams ranging from 7 wins to 4 wins. Delphos Jefferson has 7 wins, Ayersville (currently in a 4 way tie to lead the Green Meadows Conference) and Lincolnview have 6 wins, Continental, Antwerp, and Fort Jennings have 4 wins.
Sectional games will be held at Paulding and Defiance on February 19, 20 and 23. District games at Van Wert will be on February 28 and March 2
Antwerp 4-10
Ayersville 6-9
Continental 4-11
Crestview 10-5

Delphos Jefferson 7-11
