Sunday is the OHSAA DVII Tournament draw. Continental is assigned to Northwest District Group B where teams will look to be placed in either the Ottawa Glandorf District or the Elida District. A balanced field has two teams with winning records and high rankings in the MAXPreps DVII poll. #3 Miller City and #4 Ottoville will look to place themselves first in the brackets. #22 Kalida would likely be #3 seed in the 9 team District. 5 teams will be looking for the 4th seed and potentially a home sectional final game. Currently in the battle for the 4th seed are 65 Continental, 67 Delphos St Johns, 69 New Knoxville, and #73 Fort Jennings. #114 Waynesville Goshen and #124 Lima Perry round out the field.
A Sectional Semifinal will be held on Wednesday February 18. Sectional Finals will be held on Saturday February 21. All Sectional games are played at the better seeded site. District Semifinal will be held at Ottawa Glandorf on Wednesday February 25. Teams from Group B will place themselves at the draw in a path that takes them to a District final at Ottawa Glandorf or at Elida on Saturday February 28. Winners of both the Ottawa Glandorf and Elida Districts will advance to the Bluffton University Regional with Semifinals on March 3 and Finals on March 7.
The Archbold District will filter into the Ottawa Glandorf District while teams from the Elida District will filter into the other side of the bracket at the Elida District. Top teams in the Archbold District are Edon, Edgerton, Fayette, and Stryker. Top teams in the Elida District are Hardin Northern, Ridgemont, Arlington, and McComb.
