It was an unbearably hot summer here in Continental but the comfortable Fall temperatures has many businesses taking some time to fix up their store-fronts. A trip down Main Street and you will see the results of lots of hard work:
— There is a new flag pole pad being poured in front of the Town Hall. Mayor Miller says the flag pole broke about a year ago and was unusable and it was time to put in a new one. The work should be finished soon.
–Mark Wakeham is fixing up what many of us remember as the old telephone company office. It was also briefly a computer shop that had a fire many years ago. Thank you Mark for taking on this project!
–Nathan Bowers is busying remodeling what years ago was Gale & Arnie’s grocery store at the corner of Rice and Main. Over the years it has been a pizza restaruant and car detailing shop among other things. The store-front looks great and so does the inside!
–Main Street Boutique & Coffee recently sold to the young lady who has worked there for the past five years. The business was closed for two weeks while Karlena gave boutique her own touch. Stop by and check out the new Tene’ & Co.!
