
Monday night a pair of teams in the OHSAA DIII Girls Soccer Evergreen District met at Delta. An even first half saw the game turn in the second half as Delta controlled the pace and put in 2 goals for the 3-1 win over Continental. The Panthers got on the boards first when they put in a goal with 32:25 left in the first highway. Then Pirates Makenzie Shock tied the game with a goal with just under 15 minutes left in the half. 1 all at half. The Panther would take a lead for good when they scored with 20:21 left in the game. A Panthers insurance goal was scored with 12:48 left in the game. Delta 3-1 final.
Makenzie Shock scored the Pirates goal. Makenzie Niese took the loss in goal with 10 saves. The Pirates had 2 shots (1 shot on goal) while the Panthers had 33 shots (13 on goal). Delta had a 7-0 advantage in corner
Continental falls to 4-4-0 and will host another NWOAL and Evergreen District team, Liberty Center, on Saturday. Delta improves to 5-1.
