With the hot, humid weather, please make sure that any outside dogs have fresh water and are checked on regularly. The dogs should be able to have access to shade or even a pool. If possible, bring the dogs inside to help keep them cool. Leave your pets at home instead of taking them with you when running errands. Temperatures in vehicles will climb very quickly even with windows down. Pavement can be hotter than you think and can burn the pads on the dog’s paws.
